For information about becoming a member, please see our membership page .* Learn how to paint a complete, alla-prima portrait in this exciting two-part demo and workshop. *On Saturday, June 28, * *you’ll watch Ingrid demonstrate* the painting of an entire portrait, from start to finish. As she works, Ingrid will thoroughly explain both her process and her materials and answer any questions that you have. *Then, on Sunday, June 29, you’ll paint a portrait* of your own in the time-honoured, traditional manner: from life. Working from a model ensures both better understanding and better painting: you learn to discern subtle colours, values and colour temperatures without the distortion and simplification of a photo reference.
